American Pie star Jason Biggs and his actress wife Jenny Mollen have separated after 18 years' marriage.People confirmed the news this morning (AEST) after multiple media outlets reported the split.The couple, who met on the set of the 2008 film My Best Friend's Girl, are reportedly on "great terms" and focused on co-parenting their two sons, Sid, 12 and Lazlo, 8.People reported a rep for the couple confirmed the split, while a source close to the pair said they were "doing great" and spent Biggs' recent 48th birthday together as a family on May 12."They are very much connected," the source told People. Their second son, Lazlo arrived in October 2017.They moved from LA to New York City in 2015, and later settled in Manhattan.New Jersey-born Briggs started acting in commercials at the age of five. Mollen, 46, started her career in 2000, before appearing in a number of films and as a guest on TV shows, including three episodes of the hit supernatural series, Angel, before meeting Briggs on the set of My Best Friend's Girl.They also co-starred as husband and wife in the 2016 film Amateur Night.In 2012, Mollen started writing a humorous column for website The Smoking Jacket, and an advice column for Playboy.Two years later, she released a book, I Like You Just the Way I Am: Stories About Me and Some Other People, which became a The New York Times Best Seller and included an anecdote about hiring a prostitute while on a trip to Las Vegas to surprise her husband for his 30th birthday.She later drew criticism for the revelation, before her husband came out in defence of his wife.They were thought to have one of the most solid marriages in celebrity circles, with Mollen posting a number of tributes to her husband in recent years as well as funny posts.In November 2025, she took to Instagram with a photo and post saying, "A totally approachable couple not trying to seduce you".Their most recent red carpet appearance was at the Torino Film Festival in Italy in November 2025.
