Traci Braxton Passes Away At 50 After Battle With Esophageal Cancer

Roommates, we are saddened to report on the passing of the beloved Traci Braxton.

According to TMZ, Traci was battling cancer for the last year, and unfortunately could not fight anymore. She reportedly passed on Saturday morning, and her husband Kevin Surratt revealed she was privately battling esophageal cancer.

“We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for esophageal cancer, our beloved Traci Braxton has gone to glory,” Kevin told TMZ.

Traci was just 50 years old, and her son Kevin Jr. expressed his pain after the learning the news in a post on Instagram.

“When I heard the news about my mother being sick first thing she said was ‘I’m going to fight to and beat this.’ She fought to the end and today she’s at peace. I love my mother forever and this hurts so much but I am at peace knowing she isn’t in pain anymore. I love you ma I’m going to miss you,” he wrote.

Y’all know Traci as one of the lovely ladies of the Braxton family. She appeared on her family’s reality television show “Braxton Family Values” for years, but she was also a talented actress and singer alongside her sisters Toni, Towanda, Trina and Tamar.
